林懷民獲美國舞蹈藝術節大獎

雲門舞集創辦人與藝術總監林懷民獲得2013年美國舞蹈藝術節S muelH. Scripts獎（Samuel H. Scripts American Dance FestivalAward），表揚其在現代舞蹈領域的終身成就。

頒獎時間定於7月26日晚間8點在北卡的Durham表演藝術中心（DurhamPerforming Arts Center）舉行。美國舞蹈藝術節創立於1934年，今年將屆80年，林懷民是該獎項創辦32年來，首位獲獎的台灣編舞家。為表示對台灣現代舞蹈成就的肯定，美國舞蹈藝術節將於頒獎的同時，呈現林懷民傑作《水月》的片段。
