官員：北印洪災 已知千人死亡

印度北阿坎德省(Uttarakhand)災難管理廳廳長阿里雅(Yashpal Arya)今天(24日)說，北阿坎德省日前遭暴雨蹂躪後，目前已知約有1千人因洪災和土石流而死亡。

阿里雅說，現在還很難得知死亡人數是否會超過1千人，目前的重點是放在救援受困的民眾。

另外，「印度新聞信託社」(Press Trust of India)23日晚間報導，阿里雅藉由空中視查災區後，指罹難人數恐怕會超過5千人。

印度軍方過去6天展開承平時期最大規模救難行動，北阿坎德省逾8萬人獲救脫困，但迄今仍有1萬人待援。

北印度15到17日暴雨成災，喜馬拉雅山區的北阿坎德省經歷連續60小時豪雨，省會德哈拉丹(Dehradun)16、17日間，24小時內觀測到創紀錄的370毫米降雨量，造成驚人災難。
