嬰兒趴睡窒息死 無照保母起訴

【郭芷余／高雄報導】高雄大社一名廖姓無照保母，前年照顧一名3個月大新生兒時嬰兒猝死，檢方原認定嬰兒是自然死亡，將廖女不起訴。嬰兒母親再議發回後，檢察官重新偵查認為，廖女自承嬰兒趴睡後才發現臉色發白窒息，依業務過失致死罪起訴保母。

起訴指出，廖女自前年11月照顧吳姓母親的新生兒子，曾對吳女說：「小孩趴睡頭型會比較漂亮。」但吳女表示萬萬不可，因嬰兒不會翻身，可能會窒息。但12月早上廖女仍疏未注意，將嬰兒趴睡後，逕自離開準備衣物要幫她盥洗，不到半小時嬰兒就嘴唇發紫、手腳軟趴，送醫急救不治。
 

檢方根據醫生證詞及廖女自承，認定嬰兒趴睡窒息才導致猝死症，將保母起訴。
