（路透紐約20日電）「華爾街日報」（WSJ）今天報導，美國國家安全局（NSA）監控計畫涵蓋全美約75%網路通訊，多過官員先前公開的範圍。

美監控 75%通訊難逃五指山
 「華爾街日報」報導，國安局保留美國公民間傳送的部分電子郵件內容，也過濾國內網路電話。 「華爾街日報」指出，國安局透過電信公司執行這些過濾行動，不論是由海外發送和接收的通聯，或發送和接收端皆在海外，只是處理過程中經過美國的通訊都成為監控目標。 美國官員曾告訴「華爾街日報」，廣泛的監控系統使當局監控海外通聯時，容易不經意地攔截或蒐集到美國本土的通聯紀錄。 國安局回應報導表示，監控任務「目標是擊退想要傷害美國的敵人。我們捍衛美國遠離這類威脅，同時極力保護美國公民隱私權」。中央社（翻譯）
