形同叛國 誰吃了英女王天鵝

英國女王伊莉莎白二世擁有的一隻天鵝疑似遭人宰殺、火烤、把天鵝肉吃進肚子後，將殘骸丟棄在倫敦近郊的溫莎城堡附近河堤邊。保護動物組織和警方誓言將徹查這件「謀殺天鵝」案。

天鵝曾是英國人餐桌上佳餚，但1981年後便受到野生動物和鄉村相關法令的保護。據吃過天鵝肉的人指出，天鵝肉「很硬且有魚腥味」，不如想像中可口。

而從12世紀以來英國法律則規定，全國所有的野生天鵝都是英國王室的財產，凡宰殺或傷害天鵝都被視為叛國罪。這項規定，在英國施行了近900年，一直到今天，每年夏天，清點英國河道上的天鵝，仍然是一件大事。

英國王室網站上則指出，「所有開放水域未受標記的天鵝，都屬於王室所有」，不過，「伊莉莎白2世女王僅在泰晤士河特定流域和其支流行使這項權利。」

天鵝生命線（Swan Lifeline）保育員赫蒙說，她感到非常噁心，「施暴者的手法乾淨俐落，大概是為了吃天鵝肉，所以可能就在這火烤牠，吃得僅剩殘骸。」

在現代英國，殺害烤食女王的天鵝罪雖不致叛國，但依然可能面對牢獄之災。
