認賠百億美元 美出清通用持股

美國政府今天宣布，出清手中剩餘的通用汽車股票，總計損失高達105億美元。

2009年，美國政府宣布動支約495億美元貸款通用汽車（General Motors），換取21億美元的特別股以及通用汽車60.8%股權，使宣布破產的通用汽車可喘息並重整企業。

在通用汽車完成重整、重新上市之後，美國財政部也開始減持通用股權，繼10月出售約12億美元股權後，美國財政部今天宣布，全數出清通用股權。

連同過去出售通用汽車股權收入，美國政府一共回收390億美元，換句話說，為了挽救通用汽車，美國政府付出105億美元代價。

不過，根據汽車研究中心（Center forAutomotive Research）今天發布的研究指出，美國政府在2009年融資通用汽車，成功保住約120萬個工作機會，2009與2010年的個人與社會保險稅收約394億美元。
