小島秀夫透露《潛龍諜影》系列主角 Solid Snake 命名祕辛

　　知名動作遊戲《潛龍諜影（Metal Gear Solid）》系列製作人小島秀夫，日前在個人推特上談到遊戲主角 Solid Snake 的命名由來。
　　小島解釋：「在《潛龍諜影》中，我之所以以『Snake（蛇）』為代號，是由於牠最能深刻代表隱匿行蹤，在潛伏時也不會發出噪音。至於為何不使用『眼鏡蛇（cobra）』、『蟒蛇（anaconda）』及『毒蛇（viper）』等稱號，是因為主角仍是玩家本身。」
　　此外，小島希望帶給玩家迥異於蛇柔軟身段的印象，因此加上 Solid 這個單字。而 Liquid Snake 這個稱號，則是小島特為 Solid Snake 宿敵所創造的名字。「如同每個系列的結局，最強悍的敵人總是得在最終現身。抱持著惟有 Snake 能超越 Snake 的想法，我導入『複製人（Clone）』的角色概念：Solid vs. Liquid，這就是《潛龍諜影》」
　　有趣的是，按照固態、液態及氣態變化的自然定律，在《潛龍諜影 2》中，應該登場的敵人名稱為 Gas Snake。然而，小島認為這個代號實在太遜了，因此借用物理學中 Solidus 一詞（固相線，介於液態與固態之間的狀態），打造出 Solidus Snake 之名稱。
