沒有安全移除硬碟 單一資料夾消失

我當時開著外接式硬碟中的某一個資料夾，
在沒有安全地移除硬碟的情況下拔出USB接頭，
之後再插入該硬碟後，
發現當時開著的資料夾整個消失了！(其他資料夾跟檔案都還在)
開啟顯示隱藏資料夾及檔案也沒看到，
用電腦輸入資料夾名稱搜尋也沒找到，
請問各位專家有沒有辦法呢?謝謝
