美國聯邦準備理事會(FED)7日公佈，4月消費者信貸餘額年增4.7%(111億)至2兆82億美元，雖然連續第9個月呈現上揚，但增長幅度仍不如預期，顯示美國家庭仍在去槓桿、試圖減輕負債，可能導致消費成長受到排擠。據路透社統計，經濟學家預期信貸餘額將增加120億美元。

數據顯示，循環信用貸款(例如：信用卡)餘額為8,498億美元，較前月增加6.82億美元；年率增幅為1%，高於前月的負1.3%。

非循環信用貸款(例如：學生貸款、汽車貸款、活動屋貸款)餘額為1兆9701億美元，較前月增加103億美元；年率增幅為6.4%，高於前月的5.7%。
