加國油罐車爆 疑引擎煞車鬆

（路透魁北克梅崗蒂克湖鎮8日電）鐵路公司今天說，6日在加拿大翻覆的油罐車，是因為供應氣動煞車器動力的引擎關閉，導致煞車無法作用而釀成事故。公司說，事故前不久，消防員才因列車失火關閉引擎。

6日凌晨1時許，這列油罐車在魁北克（Quebec）梅崗蒂克湖鎮（Lac-Megantic）翻覆爆炸，導致至少5人死亡，失蹤的40人恐已凶多吉少。 列車停靠地南特鎮（Nantes）的義消5日深夜接獲報案，前往停靠山坡上的列車旁，撲滅引擎起火引發的火勢。 南特消防局局長藍柏特（Patrick Lambert）告訴路透社，當時火勢「不小」，因此他們關閉引擎救火。 不過蒙特婁、緬因州暨大西洋鐵路公司（Montreal, Maine & Atlantic Railway）執行長勃克哈特（Ed Burkhardt）受訪表示，問題是，那個引擎原本都一直開著，才能維持對氣動煞車器的壓力，引擎關閉之後，對氣動煞車器的壓力逐漸「放盡」，導致煞車失靈，火車開始朝山坡下滑落。 藍柏特表示，撲滅引擎引發的火勢之後，他們聯絡蒙特婁、緬因州暨大西洋鐵路公司的地方調度員，「告訴他們我們做了什麼，是怎麼做的」。 至於是否討論到煞車問題，藍柏特說：「當時沒討論到，我們是去救火，之後的檢查工作是他們的。」 目前不清楚調度員與消防單位討論後的處置，藍柏特說，消防單位當時也應該通知下榻鄰近旅館的列車操作員。中央社（翻譯）
