調高債限6週 歐巴馬願簽署

美國總統歐巴馬今天和共和黨國會議員會談，雙方都表示具建設性，但仍未就調高債限與重啟政府達成協議。白宮說，如果國會通過短期調高債限案，歐巴馬將會簽署。

白宮發言人卡尼今天說，共和黨建議調高舉債上限，但必須同時進行預算協商，這種作法無法接受，因為這會讓美國在6週後再度面臨倒債危機。

卡尼（Jay Carney）說：「我們不該把倒債威脅與預算協商綁在一起。」

白宮表示，如果國會表決通過一個不附政策條件的「單純」法案短期調高債限，則總統歐巴馬會簽署這項法案。

卡尼說：「如果國會通過一個短期調高債限案，以避免倒債，總統會簽署。」

眾議院議長貝納（John Boehner）的發言人和白宮都表示，貝納和歐巴馬今天在電話上溝通，並表示雙方會保持對話。

卡尼說，雖然白宮與共和黨國會議員的會談具建設性，且國會議員表示倒債不是選項，但雙方就調高舉債上限和重啟政府並未達成協議。
