總統：盼台歐盟簽署經濟合作協議

馬英九總統23日在總統府接見法國在台協會主任歐陽勵文時表示，希望台灣與歐盟能早日簽署經濟合作協議，深化彼此合作與交流關係。

馬總統指出，過去5年多來，台灣與歐洲國家的關係取得大幅進展，除獲歐盟給予免申根簽證待遇，歐洲議會成員也多次組團訪台，並積極推動雙方簽署經濟合作協議；儘管歐洲理事會尚未做出決定，但就亞洲與歐洲的整體關係發展而言，台灣深盼能繼韓國之後，與歐盟簽署相關協議。

馬總統表示，歐盟是台灣全球第4大貿易夥伴，也是台灣最大外資來源，相信該協議能進一步促進雙方的合作關係。
