底特律債務違約 力求維持市政

（法新社芝加哥14日電） 深陷財務困境的美國汽車之城底特律今天讓部分債務違約。密西根州指派的緊急財務管理人，正力求讓汽車之城維持基本市政服務。

密西根州長指派處理底特律財務問題的破產專家歐爾（Kevyn Orr）說：「過去45年的財務管理不善、人口減少、稅基縮水及其他問題，導致底特律來到金融及運作崩潰的邊緣。」

「底特律從今天開始邁向復甦之路。」

底特律部分債務今天強制展延，以保住維持基本市政服務所需現金。

底特律表示將與債權人合作重整債務，讓城市「回到永續金融基礎，並獲得急切需要的再投資」。

歐爾今天告訴記者，底特律宣布破產的機率是「一半一半」，理應會在未來30天內做出決定。若宣告破產，底特律將成為美國史上宣告破產的最大城市。

底特律曾是美國第4大城，1950年到現在人口從180萬人減少到68萬5000人，銳減超過一半。（譯者：中央社樂羽嘉）
