捨不得孩子套不著狼，而在商場上，你得捨得花錢才能賺更多的錢。Samsung 深諳此道，打算在未來三年裡花 5 萬億韓元，約 45 億美元在韓國本土建立 5 個研發中心。其中，有一個投資 10 億美元的中心將會在 2015 年底的時候在首爾南部落成，這個中心將主要側重於產品設計，將容納一萬名左右的員工居住和工作。同時，Samsung 還將打造新的研發中心，分別承擔材料及零部件研發、晶片研發、螢幕產品研發。在 2012 年的時候，Samsung 投入約 105 億美元用於研發，現在看來沒有任何跡象表明它們會放慢投資力度。事實上，比起 2011 年的時候研發費用提升了 14 億美元。當然，這種研發投入不會立刻見到成效，Samsung 能否繼續在手機市場上獨領風騷，需要一定的時間才能知道答案。我們也相信，創新是保持科技產品競爭力的主導因素。
