為英國爭光 莫瑞可望封爵士

被稱為「英國希望」的英國網球好手「墨瑞」，這次不負鄉親父老期望，成功地把溫布頓男子單打冠軍杯，留在英國。墨瑞是英國七十七年以來，第一位把溫布頓男子單打冠軍盃，留在地主國的英國選手，讓英國全國上下興奮不已。英國政府已經決定，要請女王伊麗莎白二世年底前為墨瑞封爵，以後稱墨瑞，前面可要加個「爵士」的尊號了。

墨瑞拿下溫布頓男子單打冠軍之後，白金漢宮發言人表示，女王伊麗莎白二世在第一時間，就已經向墨瑞致賀，感謝他為英國爭光。

有報導指出，其實墨瑞在去年奧運拿下男子單打金牌，以及在美國公開賽拿下個人第一座大滿貫賽的冠軍盃之後，英國就希望能為墨瑞封爵；不過墨瑞一直不肯接受；如今，他終於拿下溫布頓男單冠軍，應該不會再拒絕，墨瑞可望以二十六歲的青年之姿，獲封爵位。
