金磚蒙塵、光芒不再，印度2012/2013會計年度GPD成長跌至10年新低，僅有5%。然而德意志銀行(Deutsche Bank)卻獨排眾議，認為印度本會計年度有望成長6%。

印度PTI通訊社報導，德意志銀行報告指出，印度並未陷入政策癱瘓，過去9個月來的種種改革，促使經濟大幅改善並支撐財政體制。該行認為新措施有助吸引投資人興趣，估計本會計年度經濟將擴張6%。

德意志銀行同時表示，印度盧比在本會計年度結尾時，可望回升至55印度盧比兌1美元，原因是當局將採行措施，重振投資人信心，讓印度盧比回穩。

印度盧比兌美元於6月10日貶至歷史新低之後一路下探，6月26日更貶破60印度盧比兌1美元的大關；5月和6月月線分別慘跌5.39%、5.22%。另外印度經常帳赤字也在2012/2013會計年度攀上4.8%新高。
