中共新一屆領導人上台後打擊腐敗，也讓今年高檔中秋宴生意受影響，根據大陸媒體報導，今年中秋宴訂單下滑明顯。

大陸的中國之聲報導，大陸商務部統計，二○一二年中秋與「十一」雙假期間，大陸零售及餐飲營業額達人民幣八千億元。不過，今年可不同，中高檔餐飲業在中秋的生意不理想，不少飯店也調降最低消費。一名飯店餐飲總監說，今年中秋宴推出的最低消費優惠套餐只有每桌人民幣四百元。
