【黃揚明／宜蘭報導】前總統李登輝上午前往宜蘭羅東聖母醫院參訪，受到熱烈歡迎，曾獲醫療奉獻獎的聖母醫院院長陳永興向李登輝介紹醫院歷史，李登輝肯定羅東聖母醫院與花蓮門諾醫院、台東馬偕醫院等教會醫院，對台灣東部地區醫療環境有很大貢獻，讓東部民眾不用再遠赴台北看病。
