衛福部食藥署開記者會，要求食用油脂業者在10月31日前提出聯合切結，保證所有原料及添加物符合標示，11月1日將稽查所有市售油品，明年也將提高食安稽查和檢驗預算到3億元。

衛福部指出，檢驗後確認廠商使用的原料棉籽油標準為1ppm，1ppm以下未檢出，可上架，1ppm以上即超標，屬違法；而大眾對於大統、富味鄉的產品，在更改標示之後可重新上架的疑慮，衛福部說，因廠商商品以往有經過檢驗，符合標準，只要重新標示清楚，便可再上架。
