118克拉白鑽拍逾3千萬美元 破世界紀錄

蘇富比(Sotheby's)今天(7日)在香港的拍賣會上，將1顆淨重118.28克拉的白鑽拍出港幣2億3,868萬元(3,006萬美元)的高價，並打破先前同類白鑽的拍賣價格。

這顆光彩奪目、皎潔透明的蛋形白鑽，是蘇富比拍賣市場上，未曾出現過的完美鑽石拍品，最後是由1名透過電話下標的買家標走。

這顆白鑽原先的拍價預估為2,800萬美元到3,500萬美元之間。

這顆被稱為「華美橢圓鑽石」的白鑽是2011年，由南美一座礦場的深井中挖出。這顆鑽石在未切割前，原礦重約299克拉。

在今天這顆白鑽的拍價破世界紀錄前，拍價最高的1顆鑽石是另一家拍賣公司─佳士得(Christie's)，5月間在瑞士日內瓦舉行的拍賣會上，將1顆淨重101.73克拉的白鑽拍出2,670萬美元的天價。
