伍德森：以前我沒暫停也能贏

尼克輸一分，教頭Mike Woodson「責任我來扛」，但這一扛，卻可能衍生意外話題。

事情是這樣的，16日對巫師之戰，終場前6.9秒，尼克落後1分，但有最後一擊機會，不過教頭Woodson沒喊暫停，而是讓Carmelo Anthony運球過半場，然後匆促中出手投三分，沒進，一分輸掉比賽。

「教練差勁，」Woodson說，「過程中我們犯了不少錯，偶爾會發生這種事情。」

到這裡，聽起來還好，問題出在Woodson拿過去在老鷹隊執教的經驗，對比現在：「說真的，以前我就好多次沒喊暫停，像是在老鷹隊的時候，對手還沒擺好防守陣式，我們就把球發進來，交給Joe Johnson運過半場，然後絕殺對手...。」

也許言者無心，但聽者卻可能有意。按照Woodson的說法，他在老鷹、尼克的處理方法都一樣，差別只在Johnson絕殺、Melo沒投進罷了。

「我該喊暫停，然後可以在前場發球的。但我沒這麼做。」Woodson說。

除了這個暫停之外，Woodson對於前一個Play也有話說，那個Play是巫師大將Bradley Beal突破Beno Udrih防守，上籃拿到2分，尼克從領先變落後，接下來就是那6.9秒。Woodson認為，Udrih該犯規，反正還沒進入加罰，而非讓Beal輕鬆拿分。

「我們還沒進入加罰狀態，但卻沒那麼做，」Woodson說，「我們沒辦法回到過去、修正錯誤，只能從中得到經驗，然後下次遇到這種情形時，做出正確選擇。」
