S80 也拿到 IIHS 小面積撞擊 small overlap 全Good的成績了....

IIHS 日前公佈了 2014 Top Safety Pick 車款名單,
其中小改款的S80 也首次做了 small overlap 小面積撞擊測試 並拿到了全Good的成績...
更是Large Luxury Cars 大型豪華房車級距中最安全的車款之一
為2014 Top Safety Pick+ 車款

VOLVO目前被測試的車款有 S60, XC60, XC90, S80 全部通過小面積撞擊測試
在美國上市的車種只剩下XC70沒有測試過 (不過XC70 在IIHS的各級距車款名單都未出現就是...)
也就是目前在美國上市有被IIHS測試的VOLVO車款 100%都拿到 small overlap Good 的成績了
且只有 S60 因為前側氣簾延伸範圍不夠 該小項目拿到Acceptable以外
所有車種在小面積撞擊測試的各項項目都拿到 Good 的成績

即使是面臨退役的 XC90, S80 也無礙的通過這項嚴苛的撞擊測試
VOLVO車系的結構都有一個共通點 就是撞擊後的車室空間幾乎都未變形
駕駛艙腿部空間也都保持最完整的狀態
至於很多人以為VOLVO車款撞擊時會滑開的情況 其實只是因為結構強度太高
撞擊物根本沒辦法破壞車子結構而造成撞擊後彈開的結果
