Naughty Dog 透露旗下動作遊戲《秘境探險》命名祕辛

　　日前，Naughty Dog 工作室聯合總裁 Evan Wells 在接受美國電玩媒體 IGN 專訪時，透露旗下熱門動作冒險遊戲《秘境探險：黃金城秘寶（Uncharted: Drake's Fortune）》上市前的一段有趣命名故事。

　　在 2006 年美國 E3 電玩展上，索尼（SONY）發表全新遊戲主機 PlayStation 3，而 Naughty Dog 也同步公布新作《Uncharted》。

　　Wells 回憶到：「有趣的地方在於，當我們在 E3 公布遊戲預告時，仍未為它起個名字。我們不確定該如何稱呼它，因此腦力激盪大批點子。實際上，『Uncharted』曾浮上檯面，卻也曾遭棄用。但當時我們亟需一個遊戲名稱，即決定將『Uncharted』置入預告中，並心平氣和對自己說：『OK，這將會很棒！』」

　　然而，前 PlayStation 執行總裁及現任微軟企業副總裁 Phil Harrison 卻對這則命名抱持反對意見。他認為，在英國，若遊戲名稱為「Uncharted（中譯：未知的）」，代表表現很遜，無法擠入銷售排行榜前 10 名。

　　最終在 E3 上，Naughty 僅在預告中擺上工作室 logo，未發佈官方名稱。由於這款新作與蘿拉‧卡夫特（Lara Croft）的《古墓奇兵（Tomb Raider）》十分類似，部分粉絲戲稱它為「Dude Raider」，並廣為流傳。所幸，Harrison 在三週後改變心意，成全《Uncharted》這個遊戲名稱。
　　Naughty Dog 於 11 月在美國 PlayStation 4 的上市活動中，正式發表新機作品的開發消息，遊戲將以海盜尋寶為主題，目前仍暫定名為《秘境探險（Uncharted）》。
