Samsung GALAXY S 5 將於 3、4 月左右推出，並可能加入虹膜掃描功能。

根據日前 Bloomberg 採訪 Samsung 執行副總裁李永熙（Lee Young Hee）內容透露，Samsung 預計將在 2014 年 3、4 月左右推出下一代旗艦手機 GALAXY S 5，可能會加入虹膜掃描功能，而下一代的智慧手錶 GALAXY Gear，也預計會同步發表。

不過，Samsung 正在研究虹膜辨識技術的可行性，並不一定會用於 GALAXY S 5。

Lee Young Hee 認為 Samsung GALAXY S 4 與 GALAXY S 3 造型差異太小，並沒有達大消費者的期望，而即將推出的 GALAXY S 5 將會有所不同，但他並沒有提及這款手機的相關規格及螢幕大小等資訊。

另一方面，Samsung GALAXY Note 3 的後繼機 GALAXY Note 4 可能會採用可彎曲面板，擁有三面顯示功能，這項產品預計在 2014 下半年推出，將是願意付更多錢的專業人士新選。
