澳洲降息至2.5%新低

澳洲央行—澳洲儲備銀行(Reserve Bank of Australia)今天(6日)宣布，降息至2.5%的紀錄新低。

在距離澳洲9月7日舉行大選只剩數週之際，澳洲央行調降隔夜利率25個基點至2.5%，這是自從該行1959年成立以來的利率新低。

先前市場就預期，央行將會降息以提振總理陸克文(Kevin Rudd)的選舉聲勢。這是澳洲今年以來第二度降息，延續2011年11月開始的降息循環，當時利率自4.75%向下調降。
