卡布雷拉歸隊 老虎大勝皇家

前一場被紅襪隊打成病貓的老虎隊，這一場把氣發洩在皇家隊身上。Andy Dirks、Omar Infante各敲5支安打，帶動老虎全隊狂掃26安，以16比2大勝。

「我不知道單場同隊兩人5安，發生過幾次，」老虎隊總教練Jim Leyland說，「但今天就是這麼一場比賽，一場不尋常的比賽。」

前一場，老虎隊做客波士頓，被紅襪隊以20比4痛宰，這種事情，誰記得誰痛苦。「我都忘記有那場比賽了，」Dirks說，「贏1分是贏、贏20分也只是一勝。」然而，這一晚的比賽，Dirks應該會牢牢記住，因為爸媽就在看台上，看寶貝兒子單場5安的神勇表現。

反觀老虎隊先發Anibal Sanchez，拿出美聯防禦率王的氣勢，投7局被敲7安、失1分，拿下今年第13勝，防禦率下降到2.61。「在我看來，Sanchez的好投才是贏球關鍵。」教頭Leyland如是說。

老虎隊戰績82勝59敗，美聯中區第一，領先第二名印地安人隊6.5場。皇家隊是同區第三，戰績73勝68敗，落後老虎隊9場。
