幫助洋基隊 基特會知所進退

Derek Jeter該如何幫助洋基隊？前任教頭Joe Torre認為，Jeter會「知所進退」。

39歲的Jeter本季因為受傷，只出賽17場，打了73打席，不復2012年勇奪安打王的神勇。上禮拜他曾說，別期待他重回2012年的狀況，但這並不代表洋基隊得找一位新的游擊手。

不過，曾帶領洋基長達12年的Torre，認為Jeter會樂意退下第一線。

「要是Jeter對球隊有幫助，他就會打下去，無論擔任什麼角色，」Torre說，「他不會遊手好閒的，因為他是Derek Jeter，希望有所貢獻。」

Torre話說得好聽，但也只是個人意見，不代表Jeter立場。「要是你們去問Jeter，可能他的答案是不一樣的。」Torre說。

Jeter在2012年季後賽受傷，困擾一年多，明年球季能有什麼表現？是個大問號。洋基隊已經寫好多套劇本，因應可能狀況。

劇本一、Jeter轉任全職指定打擊。劇本二、Jeter移防三壘，萬一Alex Roderiguez被禁賽，正好。劇本三、Jeter回到游擊大關，但找來另一位游擊手，隨時等接班。

Jeter將在2014年球季結束後，成為自由球員，如果明年打不出好成績，「退休」也是可能選項。
