聖誕節這天，雷霆來到麥迪遜花園廣場狠狠踢館，面對沒有安東尼(Carmelo Anthony)的尼克，雷霆打得相當輕鬆，團隊用5成42的命中率砍進13顆3分球，杜蘭特(Kevin Durant)飆29分，衛斯布魯克(Russell Westbrook)大三元，雙少助雷霆以123比94，狂電尼克29分，創下NBA聖誕大戰歷史中，客場球隊的最大勝分。

衛斯布魯克命中率不高，15投5中，但打得積極，也不會漏掉隊友空檔，繳出14分13籃板10助攻成績，成為NBA歷史第5位在聖誕節大三元的球員，衛斯布魯克表示，「我只知道如果我們打出我們的打法，也就是團隊籃球，雷霆的打法，沒有太多球隊能擊敗我們。」

杜蘭特3分球6投4中砍下29分，外帶7籃板6助攻，禁區的伊巴卡(Serge Ibaka)14投10中攻下24分，板凳球員幾乎人人有貢獻，傑克森(Reggie Jsckson)與藍普(Jeremy Lamb)分別攻下18及13分。

雷霆3分球24投13中，大勝尼克的23投6中，整體投籃命中率達5成36，尼克殘破的防守讓杜蘭特幾次出手都相當輕鬆，「我回到板凳就講，『天啊，感覺像是沒人在守。』」

尼克總教練伍德森(Mike Woodson)也知道慘敗問題，「防守，我們今晚根本沒做到位。」

聖誕大戰這一天，NBA出賽的10支隊伍都要穿上短袖的聖誕球衣，尼克後衛烏德利(Beno Udrih)為此抱怨袖子影響出手感覺，不過雷霆總教練布魯克斯(Scott Brooks)卻表示，「它們(球衣)看起來很棒，很幸運，我們穿它們還打得不錯。」

尼克球迷看到自家球隊被對手狂電，也不斷給予噓聲，尼克中鋒錢德勒(Tyson Chandler)表示，「老實說，我可能比球迷更失望，就是這樣，他們買票來到這裡看比賽，結果看到的是他們的球隊打得掙扎，這我了解。」
