尼克隊昨天以101：102一分之差輸給巫師隊，最後6.9秒沒叫暫停輸得莫名奇妙，總教練伍德森是戰犯無庸置疑。

巫師隊的比爾先在45秒時以一記三分球追平比數，隨後又輕鬆上籃拿到超前兩分，但時間還剩6.9秒。此時全場譁然的是，伍德森沒有喊出暫停，尼克「一哥」安東尼拿球後一路往前殺，機會不好投了一記歪斜的三分球，當然輸球作收。

「紐約郵報」挖苦總教練，一篇名為「這場經典敗仗，你無法替伍德森辯護」的撰文，痛批他就是此役戰犯。

伍德森被形容為「籃球智商低能」，原因很明顯。他握有兩次長暫停和1次20秒暫停，6.9足夠安東尼執行絕殺，但他眼睜睜的看球員在場上猶豫，美媒反問他：「暫停要留到明天用嗎？」

更糟糕的是，伍德森賽後還說：「我應該叫暫停，但當球發到安東尼手上，我來不及反應。」這種「菜鳥級」教練才會說的話，讓人覺得他難辭其咎，全場球迷傻眼、當地電視台主播瘋狂質疑，連安東尼拿球時也略顯猶豫好幾秒，因為他「預期」暫停會出現。

J.R史密斯替總教練說話，他表示場上還有很多老將，「不能全怪教練。」NBA球員可以喊暫停沒錯，但通常會得到教練暗示，這一敗伍德森絕對該罵。

除了沒喊暫停之外，13秒時決定生死的一波進攻，讓對手輕鬆上籃也有瑕疵；當時尼克犯規次數尚未達加罰，他們大可以犯規浪費時間、干擾巫師節奏，但偏偏比爾如入無人之境，還沒人意識到犯規，對方已經得分。
