不想帶著2連敗結束客場4連戰之旅，「黑曼巴」布萊恩(Kobe Bryant)18日來到曼菲斯灰熊主場，硬是繳出18投9中，追平本季個人單場最高的21分外帶5籃板、4助攻，加上老搭檔賈索(Pau Gasol)也用21分、9籃板相挺，洛杉磯湖人終場以96比92勝出，客場之旅以2勝2敗作收。

前一戰單場14投僅4中的慘澹表現，身經百戰的「老飛俠」布萊恩果然在隔天就調整得宜，此戰作客曼菲斯開賽就率隊打出34比24猛攻，終場順利助湖人以4分勝出。

賽後Kobe說道，「當我的急停跳投開始奏效時，我知道我找回手感了，特別是對上像灰熊艾倫(Tony Allen)這樣的防守者，他會在你身邊如影隨形，而且肢體動作頻頻，能從這些碰撞中投進球，我現在對自己的狀況感到非常滿意。」

此戰不僅布萊恩手感回溫，禁區的賈索也有12投9中，21分、9籃板的好表現，再加上板凳殺出的楊恩(Nick Young)貢獻3記三分彈在內的18分，湖人在末節面對灰熊反撲仍能穩住陣腳贏球。

灰熊主力大前鋒藍道夫全場繳出18分外帶本季新高的16記籃板，負責看防布萊恩的艾倫進攻端也貢獻16分、7籃板、5助攻，但這不足以抵擋紫金軍團的攻勢，灰熊主場失守，苦吞最近一波4連敗，目前西區排名已滑落至倒數第3。
