機油漏光造成引擎雜音問題

小弟有一台十幾年的老車
因為機油漏光不知道
警示燈有亮一下但是之後又沒亮
因此不以為意繼續開起碼五十公里有了orz.....
結果踩油門後有雜音
加完機油後也是一樣

修車師傅說這是引擎有傷到
加機油後繼續可以開
也沒必要修理了

我想請教師傅這樣說對嗎？
繼續開引擎開會更嚴重嗎？
需要送修嗎？
而我這台老車殘值可能不到五萬塊.....

最後想請教到壽終正寢還能稱大概多久呢
不過我這台不常開
十幾年來只開十萬一千公里
真的不甘心呀
哭哭
