2004年2月4日，馬克扎克伯格(Mark Zuckerberg)在其哈佛大學的宿舍內創建了Facebook，希望通過網絡連接每一名學生，並給與他們虛擬的網絡空間。

而如今，Facebook最新公佈的數據中，這家網站的用戶已經覆蓋了全球大部分地區，世界上七分之一的人口(超過12億人)會每月登錄其網站。

扎克伯格在本周的一次會議上指出，Facebook如今的規模是他始料未及的。

近日，Facebook發布了截至12月31日的2013財年第四季度及全年未經審計財報。報告顯示，Facebook第四季度營收為25.85億美元，比去年同期的15.85億美元增長63%；凈利潤為5.23億美元，比去年同期的凈利潤6400萬美元增長7.2倍。財報發布后，Facebook股價暴漲18%。(木南)
