距今12萬年　美發現最古老腫瘤

根據科學權威《Science》期刊網站報導，美堪薩斯大學教授在距今12萬年前尼安德塔人標本上發現腫瘤，為目前已知最古老的腫瘤。12萬年前並沒有毒澱粉、三聚氰胺等黑心食品，但科學家卻在尼安德塔人肋骨中，發現腫瘤的痕跡。

此名最古老的腫瘤患者，是一名在克羅地亞山洞被開挖出的成年男性，科學家在他破碎的左肋骨中，發現骨髓腔異常地空空如也，推定此處應曾為腫瘤生長位置。雖尼安德塔人已滅絕也非現代人的祖先，但腫瘤確實存在於這現代人史前時代的親戚中，可惜目前樣本數不足，科學家尚無法揭開腫瘤如何從遠古時代起就深植入人類細胞內的原因。
