5連勝的運動家遭到天使先發C.J. Wilson封鎖，全場僅擊出6支安打攻下1分，反觀天使先發9人，通通有安打演出，最終天使以12比1大勝運動家，也送給Jarrod Parker自5月22日的首場敗仗。

美聯西區龍頭運動家與天使展開3連戰首場交手，主場迎敵的運動家派出許久未嘗敗投滋味的Parker先發，但他這場只投4.1局記被敲出8支安打2保送、3三振，失掉8分有7分自責分。

反觀，天使派出Wilson掛帥先發，他主投7局被敲4安，3保送、6三振，僅僅失掉1分，接替上陣的Cory Rasmus以及Robert Coello也沒讓對手越雷池一步。

打線方面，天使全場敲出15支安打，包括Mike Trout、Mark Trumbo各揮出一發2分砲，最終便以12比1擊敗運動家，Wilson拿下本季第17勝。

運動家5連勝遭中斷，但在美聯西區仍以88勝62敗、勝率5成87高居龍頭，領先第2名的遊騎兵6.5場勝差，至於，天使在外卡排行方面，與領先的光芒、遊騎兵有著8.5場勝差。
