當溜馬前5場熱身賽全敗，有誰想到他們開季竟如此強勢！史柯拉、史隆及史蒂芬生3名板凳昨扮奇兵，率領溜馬於末節擺脫糾纏，以97比80狂掃公牛。溜馬拿下隊史首次開季5連勝，續保聯盟唯一不敗之身。

先發控衛喬治希爾臀傷，連3場缺席，小腿拉傷的葛蘭傑本季尚未出賽，甚至替補中鋒馬希米昨也在第3節扭傷左踝，傷兵狀態雪上加霜，可是溜馬不僅先發表現出色，替補球員更成贏球真正功臣。

公牛明星後衛羅斯雖在命中率稍有起色（昨有本季新高4成），且拿17分，卻面臨連4場失誤次數比助攻還多的窘境，「我有時想太多了，應該打簡單一點。」
