新聞集團竊聽案　28日倫敦開審

【國際中心╱綜合外電報導】跨國媒體新聞集團(News Corp.)2011年爆出竊聽醜聞，驚動全球，經過近3年蒐證，案件將於28日在英國倫敦中央刑事法庭開審，8名被告將出庭應訊，包括新聞集團主席梅鐸的愛將布魯克斯(Rebekah Brooks)，以及首相卡梅倫的前首席新聞官庫爾森(Andy Coulson)等。英媒形容案件為「世紀官司」，預計審訊4個月，期間還可能會揭出更多爆炸性內幕。

就有媒體取得新聞集團英國報章部門前主管莫克里奇一段開會時的秘密錄音，她當時估計集團最終會因竊聽醜聞付出高達16.2億美元代價，遠高於集團公布的4.48億美元。 　

醜聞主角之一、集團旗下「新聞國際」前總裁布魯克斯被控以多項罪名，包括密謀非法截取手機留言、賄賂公職人員提供資料和妨礙司法公正等。她否認控罪，聲稱沒授權下屬進行竊聽，對事件亦不知情。庫爾森則是被控非法截取留言和向公職人員行賄換資料等3項罪名。案中所有被告全部否認控罪。
