(圖／REUTERS)克蕭平均3000萬美元的新合約，換算下來，平均每場先發就進帳100萬美元（約3000萬台幣）﹔每場100球計算，不管好壞球，暴投甚至被敲全壘打，每投1球就賺進1萬美元（約30萬台幣），形容克蕭一擲萬金，一點也不為過。

克蕭入行5年的表現無從挑剔，被譽為地表最強的投手。剛高票入選名人堂的梅達斯日前才說：「克蕭是一個特別的投手，能施展無人能及的絕活。」2008年兩人曾同隊，梅達斯早就看好克蕭的未來性。

梅達斯生涯4奪塞揚獎，第一次得獎是在26歲，而3月才會滿26歲的克蕭已2座塞揚獎到手，前途不可限量。

克蕭2011年還在領50萬美元的基本年薪，才3年就已成為大聯盟最高薪，若對比去年太空人隊團隊薪資，克蕭的3000萬美元年薪竟還多出500萬美元。（記者黃照敦）
