男遭區間火車撞傷　乘客嚇很大

【鄧惠珍／彰化報導】精障蘇姓男子（33歲）今天下午3時50分許，闖入花壇火車站附近鐵軌，被正要進站的台鐵2163次區間車撞上，蘇男經送彰化秀傳醫院急救，後腦、耳部撕裂傷，右腳腳趾、後腳跟被輾爛，送醫時仍喃喃自語，生命跡象穩定，但仍需住院觀察，許多旅客被突如其來的事故嚇了一大跳。

事故發生後東線暫停行駛，西線單線通車，直到接近下午5時排除事故恢復通車，台鐵緊急調派另一輛電聯車接駁，兩輛火車並排，工作人員搭起梯子，小心翼翼協助將旅客一個一個接到另一部接駁列車，列車長不斷安甫旅客情緒。

台鐵台中運務段運務主任蘇古勝義說，該區間車由竹南開往斗六，案發當時正準備進入花壇站，當時已降低車速，但司機員看到鐵軌上有人仍來不及煞車，就撞上突然間出現在鐵軌上的蘇男，至於蘇男為何突然間出現在鐵軌上仍待鐵路警察調查。
