總統馬英九19日晚間前往小巨蛋為全國運動會致詞時，遭到抗議民眾丟鞋抗議，引發隨扈高度緊張。

總統馬英九受邀為全運會致詞，19日晚間前往小巨蛋致詞時，背後上方觀眾席不斷鼓譟，接著就有抗議民眾開始丟鞋抗議，雖然沒有砸中馬總統，卻引起隨扈高度關注，急忙衝上台站在馬總統身後護駕。

而馬總統被鞋襲後也拉高分貝，數度以「我們要展現運動家風度，好不好？」、「我們要展現公民水準，好不好？」、「我們要現民主風度，好不好？」並要求選手一起大喊加油，試圖蓋過民眾抗議鼓譟聲浪。
