【陳亮諭／綜合報導】雲林1名廖姓男子（58歲）前天到台中市博館一街探視懷孕的大女兒及2歲大的外孫女，因到頂樓收衣服，卻遭孫女反鎖，屋內又傳來哭聲，廖男心急以僅半公分粗的有線電視電纜纏腰，自頂樓垂降，欲從5樓陽台進屋，不料電纜斷裂墜樓身亡，孫女頻追問「阿公去哪裡？」

今日出版的《蘋果》報導，警方勘驗，廖男腰際纏著斷裂的有線電視電纜線，另一頭綁在頂樓水塔鐵柱上，研判廖男沒帶鑰匙，可能聽到外孫女哭聲，因窗戶未裝鐵窗，擔心小孩發生意外，情急下用電纜線從頂樓垂降到5樓陽台。中興大學物理系教授林中一表示，一般有線電視電纜線可承受約30公斤拉力，廖男身高近170公分、體重約60公斤，從5樓頂往下墜，約1.6秒著地，廖男要承受的地面衝擊力高達5000公斤，相當於遭1輛3.5公噸貨車壓過。
