就連賈奈特都能「回春」，籃網戰績續開紅盤也不意外！賈奈特末節獨拿11分，更在最後12秒貢獻致勝抄截，助籃網102比98逆轉贏球，除了中止勇士10連勝，籃網更奪4連勝，14勝21敗戰績擠進東區8強。

季前跟皮爾斯從塞爾提克一起投奔籃網，賈奈特本季卻陷低迷，場均僅6.5分、6.9籃板，正在大家認定38歲的他可以考慮退休了，他用實際行動粉碎流言，籃網總教練奇德甚至稱讚他回到25歲時的身手。

賈奈特形容自己末節表現，如同想追的女孩接了他的電話，更強調籃網可以克服16分落後頹勢，仍靠全隊共同努力，「勇士首節給我們震撼教育，但我們具備韌性追分。」喬強生也替籃網貢獻27分，布拉奇17分。

籃網戰績逐漸起死回生，也讓奇德越來越迷信，因為他已連4場穿西裝、沒打領帶在場邊執教，結果籃網全贏，剛從傷兵名單歸隊的「AK47」基里連柯開玩笑表示，「快把那條領帶拿去燒了！」

本季頭號「黑馬」仍屬太陽！雖無頂級球星，太陽續在西區創造佳績，昨靠格林最後3.9秒底線跳投，以104比103驚險氣走灰狼，目前21勝13敗，仍居西區第7，當家控衛卓拉吉奇26分、9助攻與6籃板表現全面。
